Ultrapool Ball Tier List
An independent, evidence-weighted ranking of the balls we can verify. Every tier call links back to the ball's effect — and anything we cannot verify stays out of the ranking.
This tier list is our own editorial work. It is built on the official descriptions of the verified balls plus launch-window community evidence, and it is reviewed against V0.15.0. We do not copy any other site's ranking order.
Ranking methodology
- Reliability — does the effect fire every round without setup?
- Stacking potential — can several copies or supporting effects multiply it?
- Economy efficiency — does it earn more money than it costs to buy/upgrade?
- Round coverage — is it strong early (rounds 1-3), late, or throughout?
- Verification weight — official description counts more than community chatter.
Current tiers (verified balls only)
Only officially named balls appear here. The unreviewed 140+ balls stay in a single bucket until we can verify their effects.
| Tier | Ball | Why |
|---|---|---|
| S | Chicken ball | Generates new balls — the community 'spawn engine' core; stacking potential is high (early-player reports) |
| A | Ghost ball | Re-enters play after potting — keeps your rack productive without new purchases (official effect) |
| B | Bomb ball | Explodes when bumped: strong cascade potential, but unreliable by design (official effect) |
| B | Sheep / Goat | Effects clarified in V0.14.14 patch notes; community reports place them as support pieces |
| C | The Earth | Officially described as a plain planet-that-rolls ball; no community evidence of special synergy yet |
| Pending | Gummy bear | Named in community discussions; effect unverified — ranked once confirmed in-game |
How the tiers move
- New ball verified — effect confirmed in-game → ranked on the five criteria.
- Patch changes an effect — re-verified at the new build, tier re-scored.
- Meta stabilises — community evidence over multiple patches can move a ball one tier.
The tiers above reflect game build V0.15.0.
FAQ
Common questions about this topic.
How is this tier list made?
Five weighted criteria (reliability, stacking, economy, round coverage, verification weight) applied only to officially named balls. It is editorial — it does not copy any other ranking.
Why are most balls not ranked?
The full 150+ roster is not officially published and we do not guess effects. Unverified balls stay in one 'pending' bucket until confirmed in-game.
How often does the list change?
After every official patch that changes ball behaviour or descriptions (V0.15.0 already did). The tiers always state the build they reflect.
