Ultrapool Infinite Build Guide

'Infinite build' is the community's name for engines that keep compounding so score outpaces the round targets indefinitely. There is no official infinite mode — this guide covers the principles, the patch reality and how to build toward endless scaling.

What players mean by an 'infinite build'

It is not an official term or mode. Early-player reports describe runs that keep going far past the point where normal builds stall — one report described an endless-feeling run breaking down past round 50. The community's 'infinite' label describes the feeling of an engine that scales faster than the targets, not a guaranteed endless loop. Run length beyond the standard 10 rounds is not officially documented.

The scaling principles

Every infinite attempt is one of three loops — the same families behind the build archetypes, pushed to their limit:

  • Spawn loops — balls that create more balls, where each spawn also scores or feeds a scorer.
  • Upgrade loops — converting fodder into levels (the tech-scrap route), where upgrades themselves pay out.
  • Multiplier stacking — effects that multiply every pocket, so each round multiplies the last.

Official mechanics that scale with level exist and are published in patch notes: the Eyeball scales per level (rebalanced to 20%/40%/60%/80%/100% in v0.17.2), Printer spawns on a published trigger, and eggs now score x1–x5 per level after the Halloween buff. Scaling is real — and so is the developer's willingness to rebalance it.

What the Halloween update changed

v0.17.2 went straight at the scaling pieces: Eyeball nerfed to 20/40/60/80/100%, Time Machine nerfed above Level 2, Aliens now scale target count, while Zombie, Incubator, eggs, Log and others were buffed. The lesson for infinite builders: the engine shape survives patches, the exact pieces do not — check the patch notes before committing.

Building toward endless

  1. Pick a repeatable trigger (spawn, transform, upgrade) that fires every round without your input.
  2. Attach a payout that converts the trigger into score — a scorer ball, a multiplier, or a per-level scaler.
  3. Protect the engine: keep a fallback scorer for bad rounds and avoid fusing away the anchor.
  4. Compress late: fusion turns two overlapping pieces into one slot when the table fills up (see best combos).

No official infinite build exists and this page makes no recipe claims. All engine advice is editorial and patch-sensitive — current context: v0.17.2 (Halloween update).

FAQ

FAQ

Common questions about this topic.

Is there an infinite mode in Ultrapool?

Not officially documented. The standard run is 10 rounds; whether runs can continue endlessly is community territory. Early-player reports describe very long runs, but no official endless mode is published.

What is the best infinite build?

There is no official answer. Editorially, endless scaling comes from compounding loops (spawn, upgrade, multiplier stacking) with a fallback scorer — see the principles above.

Did the Halloween update nerf infinite builds?

It rebalanced key scaling pieces: Eyeball to 20/40/60/80/100%, Time Machine above Level 2, and Aliens target scaling — while buffing Zombie, Incubator, eggs and others. Scaling still exists, but check the patch notes.

Which balls scale with level?

Officially published examples include Eyeball (per-level percentages in v0.17.2) and eggs (x1–x5 score per level). The full per-level table for every ball is not published — see the balls page for what is verified.
