Ultrapool Balls
The ball is the core of Ultrapool: every effect, every build and every fusion starts with what is sitting in your triangle.
Officially, Ultrapool ships with 150+ unlockable balls across 8 thematic sets (launch announcement). Each ball has its own effect: "A ghost ball that reappears on the table? A chicken ball that lays spherical eggs? A bomb that explodes if you bump it too much? The Earth?" — the store page adds that anything is possible "as long as it's round and it rolls nicely, no cubes allowed!"
How balls work
- Build your triangle — you rack a set of balls with different effects for the round.
- Pocket them for score — every ball sunk adds to your round score.
- Score earns money — score above the round target becomes cash.
- Buy and improve at the bar — money is spent on new balls and upgrades between rounds.
- Repeat for 10 rounds — the run ends when you survive (or fail) the 10 rounds.
Because effects combine, the same ball can be a star in one build and filler in another — that is what the build guide and tier list are for.
Officially named balls (verified)
The list below contains only balls named in official sources or confirmed in-game at V0.15.0. The full 150+ roster and rarity details are not officially published — see the note after the table.
No balls match your filter — try a shorter term.

The 8 thematic sets
The launch announcement confirms 8 thematic sets of balls. The official set names and unlock order have not been published — several early reviews mention that the fun sets come later and that you unlock more of them as you clear difficulties.
Verification status explained
- Official Confirmed — named/described in official store copy, news or patch notes.
- In-game Verified — observed directly in the current build (V0.15.0).
- Community Observed — consistent player reports, no official confirmation yet.
- Unverified — lead or claim only; never published as fact.
Community build directions
Early player reports (launch window) consistently describe three strong directions to look for while collecting balls: balls that spawn balls, balls that move other balls toward the pockets, and effects that multiply score. These are community observations — treat them as leads, and check the current patch for changes.
FAQ
Common questions about this topic.
How many balls are in Ultrapool?
Officially 150+ unlockable balls across 8 thematic sets (launch announcement). A community wiki catalogued ~121 as of the V0.14.14 window; the official full list is not published.
What are the best balls in Ultrapool?
There is no official tier list. Community reports at launch favour balls that spawn balls, balls that move others into pockets, and score multipliers. See our evidence-based tier list for how we rank the verified balls.
Are there cube-shaped balls?
No — the store page jokes that anything is possible 'as long as it's round and it rolls nicely, no cubes allowed!'. Cubes exist as a separate item type, not as balls.
Do ball effects change between patches?
Yes — V0.14.13/0.14.14 changed both ball behaviour fixes and ball description wording (e.g. sheep and goat balls). Patch notes are the source of truth for changes.
